Condensation: a symbol is a combination of 2 or more. Literal phrases: your unconscious takes a phrase from your conscious and literally translates it into a dream. E. g. driving me up the wall = driving you crazy. But you see your boss literally driving you up the wall. Sounds like: single word sounds like 2 words. E. g. dream in a house, no elevator, just stairs.
