There are 3 main imaging techniques (1) staining, (2) tracing and (3) histochemistry: locates areas that are rich in neurotransmitters, receptors, etc. and localizes diff neurons in the brain. Uncontrollable factors; cause of death, time, bw death and tissue preservation. Human infant brain can be difficult to handle.
