Document Summary

Darwin drew the first tree of animal classification but it has changed since then. Tree of life: there has been a project occurring to assemble the tree of life, shows the relationship of many organisms, there are many ways to view trees. Hierarchical classification: most organisms are known by their common names, which are used casually. For example, monkey, finch, etc: however, some organisms contradict with their names. For example: jellyfish it is not made of jelly, nor a fish, slowworm it is not a worm, to avoid this, latin scientific names are used which started in the 18th century by carolus.
