Document Summary

Tubular secretion: tubular secretion is the selective transfer from the blood into the tubules, generally by active processes, used to get rid of things we really wants to get rid of. Final: the amount of a substance excreted is the amount filtered and secreted minus the amount reabsorbed essentially the amount left in the tubular fluid. If the amount excreted is greater than filter load, there is a net secretion. If the amount excreted is less, there was a net reabsorption: excretion rate is calculated as: Urination: also called micturitation, it"s the process of getting rid of the urine, fluid from kidney tubules drain into the renal pelvis then travels to the bladder for storage via the ureter. Internal and external urethral sphincter controls the voiding of urine: the detrusor muscles line the bladder and stretch as the bladder fills and contracts as the bladder empties.
