If you have some contaminants normally chemicals and you have a receptor( humans) and there are some pathways like dermal, inhalation etc, these three paradigms are not connected so there is no risk. But if these three are related then there is a risk for something: phase i evaluate all available documents. The one on the slide is the risk assessment that might be performed before remediation which means removal or destroy the chemicals in an environmental compartment that is contaminated.
