Document Summary

Lecture 12- global climate change and human health: climate is long term conditions and weather is constantly changing. Climate is a couple of decades: atmosphere= air pressure and air temperature, cryosphere = frozen water, sun is releasing this energy/ waves and they go through the atmosphere and do not heat atmosphere very much. Most of the radiation is going through to reach planet earth. The earth absorbs this heat and it is release back into the atmosphere. Most of this waves is absorbed by green house gases. Beside carbon dioxide there are other green house gasses, water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane and nitrogen oxide. Some of the energy is going through the atmosphere to the space but most is absorbed and radiated back to the surface. Atmosphere is heated and some energy that is radiated back is heated. (earth is heated) this is conservation of the energy.
