The grotesque mother is still the paradoxical aspect to this poem. There is nothing between us. final line/stanza. Affirmative resolution to the poem, rant but you and i are different. Open up the question of politics of mothering. The lens of difference and what that might mean. The mother is a metaphor- identifying femininity with motherhood.
