Checkerboard division of city. Attracts many foreigners from Central Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Korea, Mongolia, etc Great influence of Buddhism in China (because of Xuan Zang and Dayanta) Song Dynasty Collapse of Tang dynasty, followed by civil wars After the Tang, was the Song Dynasty Kaifeng (Song Capital)
