Energy inputs to the earth: all of the earth"s climate systems are regulate by the energy put into the system by the sun, depending on what part of the earth, there will be different incoming solar radiation. The red areas around the equator receives the most. Globe temp is relative to the places that have the most radiation. This is the unequal distribution of energy of the earth. There is more energy and so heat rises more quickly so more air is pushed upwards. Warm air rises quickly and has the most radiation. And that why you can see it from space. It also receives the most amount of precipitation: a band of symmetrical clouds. During the summer, the tropic of cancer receives the most radiation. During winter, the tropic of capricorn will receive the most radiation.
