Human memory is not a singular noun better not to think of it as a noun, but as a verb instead. Humans have a multitude of different memory systems that work together to create a total memory for the human. Clive wearing got herpes cephalitis destroyed his memory systems and is a perfect example of a human that does not actually have any functioning memory systems. Did not remember anything about the age of his wife, his daughter was living i(cid:374) the (cid:862)prese(cid:374)t(cid:863) literally only remembered things that happened in the moment. He had absolutely no idea what had happened to him. Described his life as just constantly having to wake up. Clide wearing was unable to recall conscious experience was still able to remember unconscious experiences. Clide was trapped in the state of a loop. Herpes cephalitis inflames brain causes infection kills certain brain areas.
