Indoctrination: you are born into a world where people have certain beliefs and values, they constantly talk about those beliefs, so it is very easy to accept those beliefs and values as your own. You are born into a world where society, religion, and the cultures all around us think a certain way, and we adopt that way because it is a very easy thing to do. To not adopt it makes you an opinion oddball . Store information learn skills critical thinking is a skill procedural memory: starts with guidance, strengthened only by effective practice/repetition. As you repeat and practice, you become more fluent, and the behaviour become automatic. In this way, unnatural things (skills we are not born with) can become natural. Enter a situation already with your own point of view/attitude, but then you meet some new experience that puts them to the strain.
