Document Summary

Music tastes can reflect intelligence (maybe?) (based on college test scores) Behaviourists would not have liked the study of intelligence because it cannot be objectively measured. Intelligence and personality (and to a point, development) are based on the study of individual differences not the average, unlike other types of studies. Most (socialist) societies believe that it is expected for people in high-paying positions should pay taxes to fund public education, to help the younger generation be successful. An educated (intelligent?) populace leads to a better country more innovation, stronger economy power. There are some problems with standardized tests: the united states is less successful on these tests compared to other countries. They are usually beaten by the asian countries. However, most innovation comes out of the united states. France used standardized tests to filter students who were less intelligent in some subject into classes where they would excel and not hold back the more intelligent students.
