Important themes : adapting, finding meaning, and finding beauty in our world. Where in our lives socially, in terms of friendship, and how we feel about ourselves. Blame where we are in our work on where we are in our science, Throwness: we are thrown into a world into which we adapt. These are fundamental worlds and we are in all of them. What we take for granted in our world take from our diff worlds. Along with the middle ages, time changed very slowly. Values preserved by parents and grandparents reflect your stability of values over the years. We are everywhere together in the moment, it s a psychological change of spatiality. Our experience of space and experience of time are plastic. We are going back into history to realize where ideas came from and what they mean, this all in order to be better scientist. Secularization: no longer having to refer to god.
