Motives are like little melodies pieces ( like a lego brick of muisc) Thin: eg. only a person singing a melody (not a lot going on) Thick: eg. an orchestra (lot of stuff going on, sometimes even make it difficult to identify each instruments) Harmony the relationship of pitches as they sound simultaneously.
