Evolution shows you the power of science. Theories needed to be proven by science. Genetic basis of inheritance and biological evolution. Focuses on how evolution works at level of phenotypes, genes, and populations. Somatic cells: most cells in the body (except sex cells) We"re only focusing on the simple cells. Nucleus: contains hereditary material, is the powerhouse of the cell, controls everything. Deoxyribonucleic acid: nucleic acid used to store genetic information that codes for the synthesis of proteins. Four bases: adenine (a, guanine (g, cytosine ( c), , thymine (t) The 4 bases for entire genetic code for life are above. They are the source of all variation on this planet. It is just the blueprint for making protein. It sits in the nucleus and never leaves.
