2. conditions of good construct/explanation: three divisions of cogsci, three revolution of cog-sci and how naturalistic comparative was formed, definition of cogsci. Cognitive science is the interdisciplinary study of intelligence in humans and machines. It encompasses work done in computer science, linguistics, neuroscience, anthropology and psychology. We have all these levels: brain level, neuroscience. Information processing, ai: behavior - psychology, language - linguistic, culture - anthropology. The discipline that studies that is anthropology, cognitive anthropology: these levels in reality do not operate independently to each other, these levels are interacting with each other in complex ways, they are highly plausibly effecting each other. In addition to these disciplines, we need a discipline that completes the picture by talking about how these levels interact. Generic nominalism (weakest version: cog sci is just the name for a set. ) As long as belong to one discipline, you are cognitive scientist. But fundamentally, insight from by other fields will not result in a large impact.
