Council of constance : calls for reform outside church -- worried about two groups -- lawlers/ Studied and taught at oxford, preached controversial ideas about predesinaion and church reform-- against church indulgences. Personal faith was key for salvaion rather than communal rituals- translated new testament and other parts of bible into english-- protests against eucharist/ transubstaniaion.
