Document Summary

A few more things about m-cells: m-cells are different from normal epithelial cells in that they lack microvilli and apperantly do not secrete the same anti-pathogen materials (wikipedia). It is an interesting idea that the accesability of m- cells by pathogens may be a beneficial addaptation for these incoming pathogens are to encounter the adaptive immune. Once mucosal barriers are breached, how are pathogens detected and dealt. Innate denotes a property of some thing or action which is essential and specific to that thing or action, and which is wholly independent of any other object, action or consequence. Also known as inborn : the only immune system in most multicellular organisms (from plant, sea urchins, flies ) In all multicellular organisms recognition molecules- a very general approach to pathogen attack. Cells require priming innate must respond first (more on this later) In humans the innate and adaptive system work together: With out innate immunity, infection cannot be controlled.
