Van leeuwenhoek then started making own lenses first time in human history, whole new world becomes visible: went unnoticed. Then louis pasteur started promoting germ theory of disease then started putting pieces together. Their findings saved more lives in human history than anybody else in history of: people working on infectious disease at turn of last century. Grow on food and cause fermentation and rotting of food.
