What goes on in in learning to be moral is a kind of process of socialization. Just like you learn rules of etiquette you learn the rules in morality from your peers etc. In the first case you are sitting there tapping away looking at face book and i come and break your jaw. I am likely to think you are responsible for that. Or i can hurl jones at you and he breaks your jaw. Jones had nothing to do with it, so you can blame him. Because he had nothing to do with it; there was no part of the action that originated in jones. What if i go up to jones give him 100 dollars and say go break your jaw. In these cases what makes it voluntary is if the principle of the origin of the action is within the agent. It does not have to be the first principle.
