S: lawyers can use their art to produce conviction not by teaching people, but by making them judge whatever they themselves choose. S: suppose the jury has been persuaded by the lawyer and their decision upon hearsay, formed a true judgment. They have decided without knowledge but were correctly persuaded. But they couldn"t have done that if true judgment is the same thing as knowledge. When a man gets a true judgment about something without an account, his soul is in a state of truth but he does not know it. But when he has also got an account of it, he is made perfect in knowledge.
