Lessons that lots of research taught us: example: reality is a story told by the brain. Brains are artists: they do not function like mirrors. Brains are storytellers: reality is turned into something. Reflect representation of reality: guesswork involved in construction process; gaps get filled in, happens inside the brain. But how often does perception solve the mystery: we deal with basic uncertainty implicitly, reality sometimes can be different. Perception: storytelling and inferring: fill in missing gaps, reality doesn"t always agree with story, our conscience is the story, gaps are bad stories, and thus bad realities.
