Social: ways that people influences each other. Our relationship is mediated by our bodies and affect (construct) our consciousness. A million ants is a viable community of organsims that exhibits coordinated, self-directed behaviour. Neuron: responsible for sending and receiving messages throughout the body. Sensory neurons: cells that transmit sensory information (sight, sound, etc) and send the signal toward spinal cord and the brain. Motor neurons: cells that pass signals from brain to muscle of the body. Dendrites: (information receptors) receive information from other neurons and transmit toward the cell body. Cell body: contains cell"s genetic material, keeps the neuron alive and determines whether it will fire the action potential or not.
