Babies can be profoundly influenced by things outside of their biology ex. a mother"s stress while carrying the child can affect birth weight, cognitive and physical development. Women who handle stress better would have less risk for this. Cultural practices, our cultures are constructing us biologically the amount of physical touch has a direct impact on a babies brain development.
