Cluster a: schizotypal pd: pervasive social deficits, cognitive/perceptual distortions, acute discomfort in close relationships, cognitive, or perceptual distortions, and eccentricities of behaviour, people with spd might show ideas of reference, odd beliefs or magical thinking, and odd thinking/speech. Cluster b: borderline pd (bpd: pervasive instability of relationships, self-image, emotion, impulsivity, there are 5 main areas of dysregulation in bpd, emotion: unstable emotion/mood. Intense anger/difficulty controlling anger: interpersonal: unstable/intense relationships. Frantic efforts to avoid abandonment: behavioral: impulsive/self-damaging behaviors (e. g. suicide or self harm, identity/self: unstable sense of self and feelings of emptiness, cognitive: stress related paranoid thoughts and disassociation. Invalidating may be a result of absence/abuse/neglect, denial or suppression of emotions. Interpersonal chaos interpersonal effectiveness: mentalization-based treatment, schema-focused therapy, transference-focused therapy.
