Document Summary
Models of attitude structure: there are five models that describe attitude structure, belief based models, whether you think something is good or bad follows a logical structure. Finds source of good or bad evaluations: unidimensional models, 2d models, 3d models, non-dimensional models. Syllogistic model: main point: in understanding our attitudes, we must consider the link between beliefs and evaluations, beliefs: full set of what is known about attitude object, each has an evaluative component. Unidimensional models: affective or emotional orientation to an object along a single dimension of favourability or unfavorability, simply an affective response to an object, doesn"t account for source of attitude only the final attitude. 2d models: there are four 2d models which all have two different two components which are believed to create our attitudes, affective and cognitive model: Emotional intensity and valence often confounded due to negativity bias.
