Skepticism about a psychological theory of attention, if attention can really be defined. Cognitive psychology is different from epistemology, both study knowing. Epistemology: how knowledge should work, has generally assumed folk psychology. Cognitive psychology: how we actually go about knowing. Optimization: the brain can optimize, balance between two. The brain has to communicate, there is communication within the brain. When you try to communicate information, there"s two opposing risks.
