Share this idea between psychology and sociology. Social psychology relationship between individuals and the social context (different social groups you belong too) Defines who you are and what makes you unique self. Allows us to differentiate ourselves from other people. Process begins very young, continues through adolescence and continues all the way through adulthood. Sense of who you are and how you view yourself continuously evolves i. e. you are not the same person you were when you were 12. Crystallization doesn"t stop changing, but there is more solidity (less variation) Still change, but must less change than there was before. Most people change rapidly in their pre teen and teen years, and than after that change is much slower once you get into adulthood.
