Feral child- a child who"s had no socialization, who have had very limited if any interaction with human beings. Typically remain disinterested in most things we think are normal, like games. How do we become human in the social sense: socialization, education, biologically based models-> plays a huge role in us being who we are. We have a certain kind of brain and body that facilitate us to be humans. Sets the broad human limits to what is possible for us. Sociobiologists- genes account for our personality traits as well as our physical traits. Characteristics of members of each species vary widely. Species members with more adaptive characteristics are more likely to survive until reproduction. Therefore, the species characteristics that endure are those that increase the survival chances of that species. Survival of the fittest- those most likely to reproduce, those most likely to survive: e. g. deer- the more skittish they are, the more likely they are to survive.
