An indian who is aware of living in a different society. Agrees with mcluhan technological change is driving social change, society is reacting and changing to this rapid development. Says that we are being drawn together because of this. He disagrees and says technology is alienating us and creating anxiety through disjunctures: things that don"t fit together/doesn"t make sense, no logical connections & lack of continuity/relationship between things we don"t see the evolution of ideas. We should be connected to our primordia: the fundamental basic elements of who we are. Thinking, identity, race, appearance, values, actions// personal truth. Tech changes are distracting us from who we really are. We are relying on imaginaries: constructions of artificial reality/ what reality is supposed to be. This is not necessarily a lie; it could be partially true. Complex set of assumptions and beliefs, might be true but is limited to the truth, not stability, always shifting.
