Example : lucky: mythologies about the historical deeds of these powers: explain how the world was created, sometimes they tell them how to act in specific ways and how they will punish you for miss conduct. Functions of religion: there is a diversity in religion, however there are some ritual that everyone follows. Some rituals do not work and supernatural powers are not proven to exist. Intellectual/cognitive: people cannot tolerate uncertainty, it serves to explain things that would otherwise be uncertain.
