Sexual liaisons were prohibited for girls although more lenient in some societies for the boys. This has a high correlation to adolescents" economic value. Surprisingly, even in dowry societies, no one cares if the bride is a virgin or not. Guilt and shame employed towards women to stray them away from premarital sex used is a very effective method. In some societies like in melanasia, homosexual practice is encourage during adolescence and the ingestion of semen needed for proper growth.
