Explanations for gendered division of labour in all societies there appear to be divisions of gender in labour. The counter argument to this thesis is that most tasks that men do won"t affect women in the way of their menstrual cycle: child-care compatibility hypothesis. Biological fact women breast feed and due to that, infants tend to spend more time with their mothers. Ultimately, women perform tasks that are compatible with their babies and with breast feeding. Women receive fairly routine and repetitive task that don"t involve a lot of concentration. They receive tasks that can be interrupted and resumed without harming efficient performance. Tasks that do not place children and mothers in potential danger. And women also receive tasks that don"t require them to travel far.
