Cell membranes capture each of the nuclei, so you end up with cells on the outside of this developing embryo. Its important for these nuclei to know where they are in the embryo. For them to know if they"re at the tail or head end. Because the blastula becomes a gastrula which becomes a worm. The worm is an eating machine, then becomes the y. Their genome has to make both a larva and a y.
