Web crawlers crawl the internet going form page to page and building up a database of keywords from each web page and links between web pages. When you type a search term, they look in their database for those keywords and find the list of pages that correspond to those words. Google using the pagerank algorithm to determine the order of results. Pagerank weights each page so that more popular websites receive higher ranks and will be higher in the list of results. Popularity is a big factor in the rankings. Other factors include title, keywords, position of keywords, and text within links. A sequence of images that create an illusion of movement when played in succession. Each individual still image is called a frame. Easier to show somebody how something works then try and explain it. Simulation of movement through a series of pictures that have objects in slightly different positions.
