The magni cation is done by a smaller lens (eyepiece)! Larger apertures means more light needs to be collected and a higher magni cation is needed! World"s largest telescopes are two keck telescopes located in mauna kea, hawaii: con rmed that stars other than sun have planets! Joint ventures do the job for canada: canada-france-hawaii telescope (cfht) in hawaii, produced many spectacular images (lagoona nebula)! Non-optical telescopes are also used: track radio waves, many things carry optical telescopes, but they carry more non-optical as well!
