Movies can be ambiguous supportive or critical of dominant ideology, and these can be explicit or implicit. What structures our world, how do we assess this and criticize it. No pity for anyone who was poor in the us. Golden rule: he who has the gold makes the rules. Greed is our master, it controls us (street preacher) There are people who are awake in the film, and like the preacher they are shut down right away when they try to save everyone. Fascism can nestle within democracy without any problem. Ideology will give you wiggle room, societies have become less discriminatory. In the film false consciousness is about being under ideological control and not knowing about it. Maybe things will get better for me- always the hope. Anyone who objects cannot be reasoned with, they must be wiped out. The rules and agenda are set through the advertisements. What you consume and buy is a part of you.
