Used to mask a transiion between scenes, or to hide edits. Tracking (dolly) shot: is a shot that travels in any direcion along the ground (any posiion) Rely on the movement of the camera support. Crane shot: camera is lited of the ground (can move up down, side to side etc. ) Helicopter shot is a variaion of this (most free form, fullest range of movement possible) Hand held camera: a rougher, jerky image, used to heighten realism. Steady cam: handheld camera to the extreme: camera harness connected to camera person, sotens the extreme. Useful when combined with a crane shot. Was invented for the shining, irst ilm it was used.
