Tourism infrastructure starts with transportation, but it ends with accommodations. Infrastructure: transportation that gets us there, places that get us around, places and services that helps us while we are there. Getting where we want to go, when we want to get there . In terms of time it takes us to get from place to place, it is shorter. Jet air craft then makes it even smaller than before. The world opens up with steam engine. Can get across the atlantic, became a race of how fast you can get across. Airplanes made the world smaller even more cause you could fly places across the world and can watch live videos worldwide. It changes our understanding and thinking about travel in terms of distance. Take a step further we all have laptops and cellphones that connect us from place to place. Talks about the hotel aspect of infrastructure.
