Document review due on the 10th of feb: Look in one of two text books for documents that were written during the time period we have been looking at (primary document written in past time period ex 1945). Pick any document that addresses a topic that you are interested in. You may jump ahead and choose a document we haven"t covered yet. Do not use document from the christian text book. Connects to the notion of passionless in victorian society (the assumption that women had no sexual desires) We do know that white middle class women were seen in victorian society as more virtuous and more moral then men who were seen as animalistic brutes. Women were also seen as inferior to men. Which is a contradiction, but they lived this contradiction. Women were aware of this contradiction and often brought up and questioned why they didn"t have more power or opportunities.
