Ontario has greater percentage of gdp than population. Metropolitan dominance: finance in toronto and montreal, accounting, advertising, some industry in vancouver / law firms. Oil increasingly important full service canadian companies bought out by us firms. Us controlled 60% of canadian mines and smelting.
