Anatomical position: unless stated otherwise, this is what all terminology is in reference to, standing erect, palms and feet face forward, r and l are in reference to person not as we perceive the picture. Other positions: supine is lying on your back, prone is lying on your stomach, hands are not in anatomical position, head is also turned to the side. Terms of direction/position: right and left are in reference to the person not the image, midline = dotted white light, medial = closer to the midline.
