This course will explore physical, social, and psychological determinants of health from the prenatal period to early adulthood. The focus will be on health applications of developmental concepts such as sensorimotor, perceptual, cognitive, language, social and emotional constructs through childhood. By the end of this course you will be able to: Identify key sensorimotor, perceptual, cognitive, language, social and emotional milestones. Apply developmental theories and knowledge to case studies. Reading if you complete 85% of the textbook and activities you will receive an extra 2% on your final exam grade. The cut off date is december 3rd. To receive credit for tutorial participation you must attend your selected tutorial. Exams all exams are multiple choice and all material from lecture / tutorial is testable. All the midterm and final exam are cumulative - the quizzes are not. Midterm / final cumulative multiple choice exams are worth 35% note there is a textbook bonus.
