Examples of Token rewards: - what you earn  Trophies  Money  Sponsorship  Scholarship  Social status Undesirable behaviours can be eliminated through the use of token rewards E.g.: text Pg. 136 change behaviours of a swim team Desirable behaviours can be enhanced through the use of token rewards E.g. Text Pg. 135 basketball Token rewards have a spill over effect on non-target behaviours  E.g. Jones 1977 – improve skill at a summer BB camp  Earn colored rings for skill execution that can be exchanged for rewards  Other observation: satisfaction and enjoyment, attendance and promptness  Interest and attitude  Conformance to rules  Social interaction (coach/athlete) Improve individual skills 1.
