Prism glasses help alleviate symptoms: forces individuals to attend to the information in their left visual field, direct your vision to the left visual field. Rtms: transmit a series of rapid pulses, applied to the unimpaired hemisphere. If an individual has left neglect, they have a lesion in the right parietal lobe. In the example, rtms was applied to gw"s left parietal lobe: applying an inhibitory signal trying to disrupt activity within the unimpaired hemisphere. Inhibit the left to try and equal them out. Gw received this rtms treatment for 15-20 minutes a day for 15 days. The result: her ability to draw the clock face with no apparent neglect. 3 stage model of information processing: we process information similar to a computer. Stages of information processing are serial and discrete. The human brain tells us what to do. Output final outcome of what we are told to do brain. We must fully enter the first stage identify the stimuli.
