Conducted study where participants were assigned the role of learners or teachers (but all were teachers) The study tricked participants into always being the teachers. Wrong answers resulted in a shock but the "learners" took the shock bracelet off and tricked the teacher into thinking they were shocking them. People were giving the learners the shocks even against protest solely because a researcher was telling them to. More then 50% of participants went to the highest shock level.
