Document Summary

T cell is a captain requires other cells. Many similarities to the bcr/ab: bcr has two heavy and light chains, fad fragment is when we digest an antibody and it removes the antigen binding domain, t cell is like the fad fragment. Consists of: immunoglobulin domains, cdr on the end of variable region, constant region. A and b chains: each with 2 ig domains, v and c regions, cdr1, 2 and 3 in the v region. Signalling mediated through a molecular complex: cannot generate the signal by it self. Signalling through a molecular complex: cd3. This is what generates the signals: co-receptor lck associated. Cd8 mhc class i: they are co receptors. Mhc comes cd 8 or 4 comes in binds which causes the lck to associate which is a kinase to phosphorylate the itams on cd3: itams phosphorylated, assembly of complex initiates signalling.
