Cancer cells live forever, divide indefinitely and invade (metastasize) Benign cells are usually not trying to spread: it is when they start metasticizing is when you consider it as cancer. E. g. people with ibd are way more likely to develop colon cancer relative to the general population. Ros and ron from inflammation is known to mutate dna. Some viruses carry cancer causing genes: called onco viruses. Some examples: ebv, kaposi"s sarvoma virus, human papilloma virus. Infections actually cause up to 25% of all cancers. Vaccination against these viruses can prevent these cancers. Vaccination in hpv decreases change of getting cancer. Hpv vaccines consists of empty virus like particles containing hpv proteins. Can also cause anal, vaginal, penile, head, neck and oral cancers. No cancer neutrophils are still inside bloo vessels. In a pre cancerous lesion, you get macrophages and neutrophils inside the skin tissue. In tumor, you get proliferated skin tissue, tons of macrophages and neutrophils.
