Ideology is brought up in the concept of competition because those who are less privileged are manipulated into thinking that that is the way society works. They are (cid:272)o(cid:374)(cid:448)i(cid:374)(cid:272)ed of the (cid:862)the justi(cid:272)e of thei(cid:396) i(cid:374)justi(cid:272)es(cid:863) Occupational mobility: being able to switch jobs easily. Geographic mobility: measures the migration within a population. Ideologies can be justified only if majority of the population believe in them, for example, the fact that material wealth comes to those who work harder. Liberalism comes with many contradictions, for example: freedom vs. equality, property rights vs. human rights, individual vs. society, etc. Laissez-faire (leave to do) was built on the assumption that the market could regulate itself.
