Document Summary
Theory acts like ideology: tells us what to do, or what needs to be done, in a passive manner that we have been accustomed to subject to. It is the belief of many that without scientific knowledge, the working class would be doomed to subordination forever. The task of theory is to inspire action in the working class. Theory accelerates the self-clarification of the struggles and wishes of an age . Theory can be likened to a map rather than a set of directions doesn"t just tell you what to do and how to do it, it forces you to find the way yourself. Theory is a map produced by the lost themselves, offering us the difficult view from within rather than the clarity of the olympian view from above . The didactic view states that revolution fails as a result of lack of theory, or the lack of the right theory.
